About

Regional STBBI Prevention Campaign

“You would not take a stupid risk for a game. Why do it in real life?” This is the central message of the Stupid Risk campaign. The goal of this campaign? To share a humorous and non-judgmental message to raise awareness about STBBIs and to demystify screening and promote condom use.

Three humorous videos were produced to make young people think. These videos feature young, up-and-coming comedians who take part in a fictional TV show called “Stupid Risk”. This program confronts the participants with the stupid risk of having sex without getting tested or using condoms. The comedian Richardson Zephir, followed by more than 30,000 people on Facebook, is featured in the videos.

In addition to social networks, the Stupid Risk campaign will be displayed in school campuses in the region (Commission scolaire de Laval), Collège Montmorency, Université de Montréal (Laval Campus), various community organizations and youth centres, as well as in the form of an information and screening kiosk.

This campaign is an initiative of Direction de santé publique du Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux de Laval.
